Marriage preparation course
The course is designed to help any engaged couple develop strong foundations for a lasting marriage. We hold the Marriage Preparation Course once a year in the Spring. Our 2010 course has now finished and our next course will run in 2011. Please contact the Church Office for further details.
The five sessions cover topics such as:
- The importance of communication
- Resolving conflict
- Developing a fulfilling sexual relationship
- Establishing goals and values.
Each couple’s privacy is respected as there is no group discussion and no requirement to disclose anything about their relationship to anyone else. The aim is to give couples practical tools to build their relationship and there is time and space to work through any challenging issues.
Attending the course is an invaluable time investment for a marriage that will last long after the wedding day.
The Marriage Preparation Course was developed by Nicky and Sila Lee who also co-authored The Marriage Book.
While based on Christian principles, the course is relevant and helpful for any couple with or without a Christian faith or church background.
