Marriage course

We hold our Marriage Course once a year in the Spring. Our hugely successful 2010 course has now finished and our next course will be held in 2011. Please contact the Church Office for further information.

How do you build a healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime?

This course is designed for any couple wishing to have a strong and lasting relationship. It is very practical, and gives you the tools to build a firm foundation to your marriage.

Over seven evenings together, couples talk about important issues that can get swept under the carpet in the rush of daily life.

Topics covered include:

  • Recognising each other’s needs
  • The art of communication
  • Resolving conflict
  • Healing past hurt
  • Relating to parents and in-laws
  • Good sex
  • Having fun together and having fun together

Each couple’s privacy is respected as there is no group discussion and no requirement to disclose anything about their relationship to anyone else.

The course, while based on Christian principles, is very helpful for any couple with or without a Christian faith or church background. The Marriage Course was developed by Nicky and Sila Lee who are co-authors of The Marriage Book.

The evenings begin with supper, after which there is a talk followed by a chance for each couple to talk and work through issues raised. The course runs on seven Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm.

Contact Siobhan Daly, St. Michael's Events Manager on 020 7730 8889 or email siobhan@stmichaelschurch.org.uk for more details or to book a place on this course.

Pre-registration is essential.
