She is now delighted to be the part-time Children’s Worker and really enjoys getting to know all the children, mothers and carers who come to The Ark and the many families who attend Children’s Church on a Sunday. Sam Banner

Youth Pastor

After two years of being a Ministry Trainee at St Michael’s Sam is thrilled to have been able to take on the exciting role of Youth Pastor. This involves leading the youth group, Rooted, as well as helping Juliet with Children’s Church. One other aspect of the role is keeping in touch with St Michael’s mission partners around the country and the world! Alongside this, Sam is exploring the call to ordained ministry in the Church of England, and preparing for his next half-Ironman. He hopes to perhaps one day combine the two as a chaplain to the Royal Marines.

Guy is married to Mary Jane, and they have three boys, Charlie, Jago and Benjamin. Guy grew up in Cape Town, where he studied accountancy and finance, before before marrying Mary Jane and moving to the UK. Guy and Mary Jane are fond of taking the boys for walks in the countryside, camping in beautiful places and running.
